Autumn light:
My office window late in the afternoon…

Flag:
I liked the two planes, one of trees, one of buildings reflected in this obelisk. Then I noticed the flag and somehow the whole thing tied together.

Refuge:
It was a big sprawling cafe near Union Square, filled with students and shoppers taking a break. A bit grim if anything. She sat down at the next table, well wrapped up. No sign that she might be in any way different. Then I noticed she was wearing three pairs of glasses. The staff cleared her table for her and left her be.

After Spring:
Summer.
